SSR selfie

I did SSR selfie for 5 minutes.

First I put on a timer for 5 minutes.

Then I read the book, it was the three little pigs and it was about how there was an old mother pig who had three little pigs and not enough food to feed them. So when they were old enough, she sent them out into the world to seek their fortunes, The first little pig was very lazy. He didn’t want to work at all and he built his house out of straw.

I liked this book, but I think I need to explane it better.

Being inclusive

I learnt what inclusive is and did a story about somthing I did that was inclusive, inclusive is when you do somthing to help somone, or to include somone.

First I was told to get into groups of 3, then i went looking for a group, I saw a lot of people geting into groups when Mia-bella asked “do you wanna be in my group?” I answered  “yes” then we went to go find a 3rd person to joing.

Then  we saw a person sitting down without a group, I then went up to them and said “do you have a group?” they answered “no” therefore I said ” well you like to join are group?” they answered with “yes”.

Lastly we went as a group and done the work with eachather.

TOPES

TOPES stands for title, Orientation, Problem, Events and Solution

T stands for title, the title shows the reader the text is about.

O stands for orientation, introduce the people from the story, or the main character.

P stands problem, the problem is used and caused for the main character.

E stands for events, the event are used to tell what the main character is doing.

S stands for solution, the solution is to show whats happening now.

The Structure of a Narrative is TOPES, what stands for title, Orientation, Problem, Events, and Solution.

Times

I learnt how to read time.

First Miss White drew an time on the whiteboard, we had to try find out the right answer and write it on the whiteboard.

Then I had to make an slide show showing a picture of a clock, with times on it.

Lastly I told what time all of them were, and all the answers

I liked this task because I learnt more about how to read time, and I think I’m good at telling the time, but I think I need to get better at explaining them on my slide.

Podcast

I made a podcast about an organ.

First me and my team had to find facts about the organ, for example I found what the organ was made out of, I found that it was made out of wood and metal. The wood was environmentally friendly but the metal was called lead and was really bad for people, it was killing 1m people per year.

Then me and my team made notes about the organ so we knew what to write for our script.

Next we wrote our scripts, we all had two line to say about the organ, one of the line had an argument, all the lines talked about different stuff about the organ, for example two lines talked about the thing the organ is made out of, then the other lines talked about thing the organ is bad for.

Lastly we recorded the and said our lines, I talked about how the wood was environmentally friendly, and how it can’t kill or hurt anyone.

I enjoyed this task and I enjoyed it, but I think I need to get better at talking louder in the mic so my voice is more clearer.

TEE

TEE stands for topic sentence, explain, and elaborate.

Topic means the main reason, for example” The sun was Shining bright, when a leaf fell off the tree”.

Explain means how you tell the reader about what happen but more detail than the topic for example “The bright sun was shining, as a leaf fell off the tree landing on the gold sand.”

Elaborate is when you add as much detail you can by watching or seeing an image.

Statistics

I learnt how to make statistics for an jump distance.

First I had to learn how to made an table, what is tells the date or times of somthing on one side and a scatter graph,  is where you place dots on to tells what date or time it was and how far they jumped, for example if you jumped 1.3 you will have to mark it where 1.3 it.

Then me and my team had to jump 10 time and measure it, one person had to be the jumper the other had to be the person that places the cone on the landing then lastly one person had to measure the distance with a rular and write it down on their book.

I enjoyed this task beause I learnt more on distance and I think I’m good at it, but I think I need to improve on how to explain on how to make an table.
