I learnt my rates and ratios
First my team had to do fractions.
Then we had a lesson with Miss White, she told us what rates and ratios are and put on a video to watch what talked about rate and ratios.
Lastly I had to answer some questions where I had to answer what the ratio was.
I liked this task because I learnt more about my rates and ratios, but I think I need to improve my rates,but I think I’m good at my ratios.
This week i learnt more about synthesising, synthesising is when you use new information to create a new thought,idea,opinion or perspective.
First me and my group had to do cloze,steps,fact find then SSR selfie.
Then Miss White gave me and my group a lesson on what we are going to synthesising, we had to synthesise Emperor Penguin.
Next we had to put the information we know in the template and then the information we learnt in the template.
Lastly i made a DLO about how to synthesise and what synthesising is.
I liked synthesising, and I think im good at synthesising, but I think I need to get better at sharing my ideas.
I have learned about synthesising, synthesising is when you get new information,new ideas to create a new thought,idea,or an opinion.
First me and my team had to do SSR selfie,Fact find and cloze.
Then we had a lesson with Ms White, I learnt that when I’m synthesising I get one piece of information I know and one piece of information I have learnt then making it into a sentence, for example if you are talking about kiwis you say what you already know about kiwis and what you have learnt about them then making it into a sentence that can give more information about kiwis to the reader.
Lastly I had to make a DLO explaining what synthesising is.
I liked this task because I learnt more about synthesising, but I think I need to get better at finding new information, but I think I’m good at giving information I already know.
I learnt volleyball skills.
First I had to get into a group of 2.Then we had to find a different group to pear up with.
Then we had to practise sitting ,when we were passing we had to have our hand in front of us, when the ball came to us we had to push it up by our hands to the person by us in our group.
Next we had to practise our digging, I learnt that when you get passed the ball you hit it with your arms, when you hit it you have to have your arms together. Then we got into a group of boys and girls we had to try and pass the ball by serving,passing and digging,the ball to each other without dropping it and saying the whole ABCs to win.
Lastly we had a real game with 4 teams, 2 teams went at a time.
I liked learning about volleyball skills, but I think I need to get better at digging, but I think im good at sitting.
This week I learnt how to add fractions.
First I had to learn what the denominator and the numerator is, the denominator is the bottom number what also is how many parts I have, the numerator what is the top number what also is how many parts that has been divided
Then I had to add fractions,for example I had to add fractions like 5/6 and 9/6, I also learnt that you can only add the numerator when the denominator is the same.
Lastly I had to answer all the questions on a form.
I liked this task because I learnt more about adding fractions, but I think I need to get better at adding them, but I think I’m good at finding the answer.
This week I learnt netball skills.
First, we had to get into a group of three and had to pass the ball to each other, when catching the ball we had to make sure to make our hands in a W shape. I also learnt we had to pass from the chest.
Then, we got into two groups then lined up, we had to try and get to the end when doing the up and down strategy, after we did that we had to play a game quite similar but we had to pass the ball side to side.
Lastly, we played a real game of netball.
I liked to learn netball skills, but I think I need to get better at passing, but I think I’m good at catching.
In a speech there is OREO
O is for Opinion, when doing your opinion make sure to use the APE structure which means Assertion,Proof and Explain.
R is for Reasons E is for Explanations, these are to back up your information,opinion.
O is for your last Opinion, to tell the person what you think.
I liked writing a speech, but I think I need to improve saying my solution,but I think I m good at saying my opinion.
This week I learnt about how to think about two sides of an issue.
First Me and my group had to do SSR selfie, then we had to cloze, then lastly fact find.
Next we had to read a book about animal testing and state our opinions on it in teams, we had to have 4 reasons why we dont think we should test animals and 4 reasons we do think we should test animals.
Lastly I had to make my own opinion on animal testing on a slide.
I liked this task because I learnt more about how to think about two sides of an issue, but I think I need to get better at thinking about the issue, but I think I think I’m good at stating my opinion.
Stories have 4 types what are Myth,Legend,Fairy Tale and Fable.
Myths are stories that can explain natural phenomena for example Maui and the sun is a myth since it talks about the slow sun.
Legends are stories that talk about a person or an event, for example The Legend of the Beast Nian – Origins of Chinese New Year is a legend since it talks about the beast of nian.
Fairy tails are stories that talk about a magical animal,creature, for example the tooth fairy because its a magical animal,creature
Fables are stories that teach lessons for example the wolf and the crane because it tells not to trust people.
There are many story types, and all of them do different things or tell different things.
